I am writing to tell you how satisfied I am with the Driveway Monitor and peripheral equipment which I purchased from you.

My wife and I own a bed-and-breakfast situation in the heart of a 33-acre wooded preserve in central Massachusetts. The building, a summer residence, circa 1927, was built solid. So solid that you simply can't hear vehicles coming up the three-tenths mile drive. Even standing in our kitchen with the door open, we often missed visitors and arriving guests.

The driveway monitor has changed all that. With the base receiver in the kitchen and a second receiver in our quarters, it's virtually impossible to not know when a vehicle is coming to The Inn, be it a guest, visitor, delivery, or a curious traveler. Additionally, by being able to rely on the Driverway Monitor to let us know when someone is coming, we can put our full concentration into other tasks instead of keeping one ear and eye on the driveway in anticipation of an arrival.

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that your Driveway Monitor has helped us to be more efficient and professional by allowing us to meet and greet our guests and visitors at the front door, as opposed to always being a couple steps behind.

You have an excellent product and I rate it among the top five "best purchases" that we have made in enhancing our business operations at The Inn.

In October, 1988, we purchased a drive alarm system from you, and it has worked well for us. I have also given out by request copies of your literature on the alarm to several of my friends who were always amazed at my knowledge of their arrival. I've employed a Dakota Wireless Rubber Hose Drive Alert for about 6 years. On the morning of Tuesday, Dec 18, 2001, about 6AM our Dakota entrance drive receiver whistle alarm sounded. I flew out of bed and could barely determine something moving on our driveway. A vehicle was coming in darkness through the fog with no lights. My wife followed to "let the dogs out." I got the shotgun and headed outside toward the west end of our park. After turning around in the parking area in front of our indoor horse arena, the unwelcome vehicle started heading back out the driveway. About the time it was going past the park, I fired a shotgun round in their direction. That seemed to encourage their departure. I believe there were at least two people in the vehicle. I believe it was a small pickup. They sped up and then stopped halfway down the driveway when I fired a second round. Following the second round of fire, they seemed to be trying to move a little faster.

My wife and I were not robbed and were not harmed. So, of what value might we place on our Wireless Alert? We would say "Priceless!" Your alerting system really worked. Now, two of my neighbors have the same alert system. Thanks, Dakota.
